Meet Jenna
Jenna Jessop is a Convent Glen resident, public servant, and mom who is proud to call Orléans home.
Professionally, Jenna has built her career working in change management, communications and stakeholder engagement. Much of her work has focused on helping people navigate change, bringing different perspectives to the table, and making sure those affected by decisions are informed and heard throughout the process.
Outside of work, Jenna is raising her family here in Orléans. Like many families in Ward 2, she experiences the community every day — using our parks and pathways, navigating our roads and transit system, supporting local businesses, and taking part in community and school life.
Jenna believes public service should ultimately be about people: listening carefully, communicating openly and finding practical ways to make things better.
Why Jenna is Running
Jenna didn’t decide to run because she believes she has all the answers. She decided to run because she believes residents deserve a stronger voice in the decisions that affect their everyday lives. Too often, people hear about changes after decisions have already been made or feel like raising a concern with City Hall leads nowhere. Jenna wants to change that relationship. She believes a councillor should be visible, accessible and willing to listen — not only when there is an election or a major issue, but throughout the entire term. Residents should know what is happening in their community, understand why decisions are being made, and have meaningful opportunities to shape them.
Jenna is running to bring a collaborative, practical approach to City Hall and to focus on the things residents experience every day: reliable transportation, safer and more connected neighbourhoods, well-maintained infrastructure, strong community spaces, and responsible decisions about how the City spends taxpayers' money.
Most importantly, Jenna wants Ward 2 residents to feel that their councillor is working with them, not simply representing them from City Hall.
