for Ward 2

Orléans West-Innes

Better conversations. Better solutions. Better community.

Election Day: Monday, October 26, 2026

Jenna Jessop, candidate for Ward 2: Orléans West-Innes

Platform

Here are the priorities Jenna Jessop will champion on Ottawa City Council.

Reliable Local Transit

Reliable public transit is an essential city service. For too many Ward 2 residents, getting where they need to go means long waits, missed connections, indirect routes and too few options when the system is disrupted.

Responsible Growth and Infrastructure That Keeps Up

Ward 2 is growing fast, and the infrastructure that supports it needs to keep pace. Growth should benefit existing residents, not leave our community playing catch-up on transportation, safety and services.

Safer, more connected neighbourhoods

Everyone should feel safe getting around their neighbourhood, whether on foot, by bike or behind the wheel. Too many residents deal with speeding traffic, dangerous intersections and gaps in sidewalks and pathways that make it hard to get where they need to go.

Better Communication with City Hall

Jenna believes residents should not have to understand every City process or know the right person to contact in order to be heard. A councillor's role is to connect residents with their City, make information easier to understand and ensure community concerns are represented in the decisions being made.

Supporting Families and Community Life

Strong communities need places where neighbours can gather, play and spend time together. Jenna wants Ward 2 to have parks, recreation and community spaces that reflect the needs of the people who actually live here — for children, youth, adults and seniors alike.
